Privacy Policy
Beep Test is a fitness testing app published by Cleo HQ (ABN 55 613 823 170), a registered business name trading in South Australia. This policy explains what the app stores, where it goes, and how to get rid of it.
If you never sign in
The app works without an account. In that case everything — your results, your settings, your goals — stays on your device and we never see it. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. That is true whether or not you sign in: we do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs at all, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
If you create an account
Signing in enables cloud sync and, on the Coach plan, athlete tracking. From that point the following is stored on our behalf by Google Firebase:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address and a user ID | To sign you in and keep your data attached to you |
| Your test results — level, shuttle, distance, speed, VO2 max estimate, timings, dates | So your history is on every device you use |
| Your goals and app settings | So they follow you between devices |
| Your subscription status | To unlock the plan you paid for |
Athlete records (Coach plan)
The Coach plan exists so a coach can test a squad. If you use it, you are entering information about other people, and often about children. For each athlete you add, the app stores:
- the name you type for them;
- an optional age group and gender;
- their test results and goals;
- any notes you write about them.
This is stored against your coach account, and only you can see it. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for anything other than showing it back to you in the app.
If you are a coach, please read this part. The athletes on your roster did not agree to anything with us — they agreed with you. You are responsible for having permission to record their details, which for anyone under 18 normally means a parent or guardian, and for what you write in the notes field. Please do not record health conditions, injuries, or anything you would not be comfortable showing the athlete and their parent. If your club, school or association has its own rules about handling young people's data, those rules apply here too.
Children
Beep Test is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child. Where a child's details are in the app, a coach has entered them. A parent or guardian who wants a child's record removed should ask the coach first, because the coach can delete it immediately in the app. If that is not possible, email us at the address below and we will remove it.
Who else is involved
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Sign-in and cloud storage of the data above |
| RevenueCat | Manages subscriptions; receives your user ID and purchase status |
| Apple / Google sign-in | Used only if you choose them to sign in |
Data is stored on Google's servers, which may be outside Australia. We do not sell data to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Deleting your data
You can delete everything yourself, from inside the app:
- One athlete or group — delete it on the Team screen. Their results go with it.
- Your whole account — Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account and the data stored against it, including every athlete record you created. It cannot be undone.
You can also email us and ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it. We do not expire old results, because the point of the app is to compare a test against ones you did months or seasons ago.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we store, we will update this page and the date below.
